1-1-2. HELL , HEAVEN , NIBBANA地獄、天堂、涅槃

Everybody wants to go to heaven isnt it ? Ill point out the doors of heaven: the first door is the eye, the eye that sees beautiful forms, and like and satisfaction arise. The second door is the ear that hears melodious sounds and satisfaction and fulfillment are born. The third door is the nose that smells fragrant odors and loves them. The fourth door is the tongue that tastes delicious flavors and is pleased with them. The fifth door is the body that contacts agreeable sensations and goes for them. The sixth door is the mind that thinks about pleasurable things that are not immoral and delight arises. Heaven does not exist in different levels in the sky ; heaven exists within us.

你們每個(gè)人都想上天堂,對(duì)吧?!我這就來(lái)為你們指出天堂之門(mén):第一道門(mén)是眼睛,當(dāng)眼睛看到美麗的色境,而內(nèi)心喜愛(ài)、感到滿足,那就是天堂。第二道門(mén)是耳朵,當(dāng)耳朵聽(tīng)到美妙的音聲,而生起滿足感,那就是天堂。第三道門(mén)是鼻子,當(dāng)鼻子聞到各種香味而覺(jué)得喜愛(ài),那就是天堂。第四道門(mén)是舌頭,當(dāng)舌頭嘗到各式美味而感到愉快,那就是天堂。第五道門(mén)是身體,當(dāng)身體觸摸到宜人的覺(jué)受而心生向往時(shí),那就是天堂。第六道門(mén)是心,當(dāng)我們心想到快樂(lè)的好事,而生起了喜悅,那就是天堂。天堂并不在外面天空的不同階層當(dāng)中,天堂就在我們的身內(nèi)。

The doors of hell also exist within us, at the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body and mind. But instead of experiencing beautiful, good or delicious things, one experiences objects that are not beautiful, not good and not delicious, which make one feel dissatisfied, angry, hateful, resentful, sad, disappointed and unhappy - one falls in hell. We can see that both heaven and hell come together in one point, namely the mind. When we observe the mind, well really see heaven and hell.

地獄之門(mén)也在我們的身內(nèi),也就是眼、耳、鼻、舌、身、意。但是恰恰相反,它不是經(jīng)驗(yàn)到漂亮、美好或美味的事物,而是經(jīng)驗(yàn)到不漂亮,不美好和不美味的事物,讓我們感到不滿、生氣、憎恨、憤怒、悲傷、失望與不快而這時(shí)我們就剛好掉到地獄里了。我們可以看得出來(lái),天堂和地獄都?xì)w結(jié)于一點(diǎn),也就是「心」。當(dāng)我們反照這顆心時(shí),我們就能真正地看見(jiàn)天堂和地獄。

Nibbana is also to be found there, in the mind.There is an old saying that heaven is in the heart, hell is in the mind and Nibbana is within. Weve heard it, we can remember it and say it but we havent found it through our own skillful means. So we just talk according to texts, following others, we cant speak of things that arise at our own minds. And thats why were not able to truly have the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha as refuge. So we cannot be counted as disciples of the Buddha. We are only just registered Buddhists, not genuine Buddhists. Real Buddhists have to really practice according to the Teachers instructions to befit the saying : Give up your wealth in order to maintain your limbs, give up your limbs in order to maintain your life, give up your life in order to maintain the Truth.

涅槃也是要到那里去找心中。有一句老話說(shuō):「天堂在心內(nèi),地獄在心內(nèi),涅槃也在心內(nèi)?!刮覀兌悸?tīng)過(guò)、都記得,甚至也會(huì)說(shuō)啊!但是,我們用盡了各種的技巧方法去找,卻還是沒(méi)找到它。因此我們說(shuō)東說(shuō)西的,全都只是從書(shū)上看來(lái)或從別人那里聽(tīng)來(lái)的,而沒(méi)有辦法講說(shuō)真正從自己內(nèi)心流露出來(lái)的話。這就是為什么我們不能真正得到佛、法、僧三寶庇護(hù)的原因。所以真正說(shuō)來(lái),我們還不能算是佛弟子,我們只是名為佛教徒,不是真正的佛教徒。真正的佛教徒必須確實(shí)的依照佛陀的教導(dǎo)來(lái)修行實(shí)踐,并且要達(dá)到這句話的標(biāo)準(zhǔn):「為了保有手腳四肢寧可舍棄身外財(cái)富,為了保有身家性命寧可舍棄手腳四肢,為了保有真理正法寧可舍棄身家性命。」

Most people only practice the first two parts ; they go to see the doctor when sick and pay the doctor to look after their limbs. If the doctor says it is cancer and a limb needs to be cut off, they would go along with it for the sake of life. But is there anyone here who is willing to give up ones life for the Truth ? It means that it is better to die than doing something which is wrong according to the Buddhist teachings. As for myself, Id rather die. May the Dhamma return to peoples hearts ! Real Buddhists should be like this.

大多數(shù)的人都只能實(shí)踐前面兩個(gè);當(dāng)他們四肢生病時(shí),他們會(huì)舍財(cái)富花錢去看醫(yī)生,來(lái)治療并保住手腳。當(dāng)醫(yī)生說(shuō)這是癌癥,必須切除手腳之一時(shí);他們?yōu)榱吮W∩矔?huì)接受醫(yī)師的建議。但是請(qǐng)問(wèn),在座諸位有誰(shuí)愿意為了真理而舍棄生命呢?這意思是說(shuō),如果依照佛陀教導(dǎo)的真理來(lái)說(shuō)是錯(cuò)的事,那么你能不能寧死也不去做呢?就我自己而言,我寧愿死(也不背棄真理正法)。但愿真理正法能夠回歸到人們的心中!真正的佛教徒應(yīng)該如此?。?/p>

Nibbana translates as the normal mind, peaceful and cool, not flowing with feelings of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. One with a mind like this is called one who has virtue and Dhamma.

涅槃可以翻譯為平常心,祂安祥寂靜,不會(huì)因?yàn)闈M意或不滿意的感覺(jué)而隨波逐流。擁有這樣一顆心的人,才能叫做擁有善德和正法的人。
